All of these talented dancers were a part of Newcastle Ballet Theatre's ADVANCED BALLET COACHING PROGRAM which commenced in 2013, or NBT’s
Full time Program which commenced 2016

Benjamin Anderson  was accepted into the Australian Ballet School Full Time Program In 2016. NBT is very proud of Ben and we are looking forward to watching him  fullfill his dream.

“I feel extremely lucky and privileged to be a student at Newcastle Ballet Theatre.

Their professional, enthusiastic, and supportive teachers have been great role models and mentors to me, and their passion for Ballet is infectious.

Not only have they taken my love of Ballet as seriously as I have, but have helped me achieve my dream of dancing full-time with the Australian Ballet School.

I will be forever grateful for their dedication to developing and refining my technique and encouraging me to be the best dancer and student I can be. I look forward to making them proud in Melbourne in 2016 and beyond.”

Congratulations to Jasmine Bard - one of NBT's original students - for her acceptance into the prestigious Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance in London. Jasmine was also accepted into the Sydney Dance Company Pre Professional Year, and will taking up this offer in 2017.    We are so very proud of the dancer and young lady you have become Jas, this is only the beginning!

Newcastle Ballet Theatre reflects the people that Rider and Kristy are: nurturing and professional. Having a successful professional career themselves, they not only understand the physical technique needed for a professional career but also the mental strength that is equally important.
I wouldn’t be the dancer or person I am today, if it hadn’t been for their wealth of knowledge and continual guidance.“

Congratulations to Adrian de Leeuw who was recently awarded the 2017 Emerging Artists award by Dance Victoria

Dance Victoria, home of the Chrystal Dance Prize, today announced its two winners in the 2017 Emerging Artists award category. A panel of three dance professionals selected the winners through an application process. The organization is pleased to support local dancer Adrian de Leeuw who is pursuing his training at the Alonzo King LINES Ballet School in San Francisco. Eighteen-year-old de Leeuw recently completed his first year as a Bridge student at the Victoria Academy of Ballet. In his application he said “My goals as a dancer are to continue learning and creating as long as I can.” Dance Victoria has awarded $4,000 towards his tuition.
